Security
Our mission is to maintain the most secure facility in the world and to advance industry standards for best practices globally.

State-of-the-Art Facilities
We protect client metal in a high-security, temperature controlled environment, with backup generators and fully-segregated storage. Direct alarm feeds connect to city and county law enforcement, stationed within one mile of the facility.

Operational Practices
TPMD is in the process of SOC2 compliance certification. Developed by the American Institute of CPAs (AICPA), SOC 2 defines criteria for managing customer data based on five “trust service principles”—security, availability, processing integrity, confidentiality and privacy.
Video Recording
All packages opened within our custody or packaged for shipment are recorded during the inspection, audit, and documentation process.

Armed Security
All security personnel are commissioned police officers or ex-military with decades of combined SWAT experience. Our security personnel are full-time employees - we do not outsource security. Facility alarms are tied directly to local and county law enforcement situated within one mile of the depository.
Dual Controls
As part of standard operating procedures, all vaulting access is dual or triple controlled, and no single individual is in possession of all codes required to access each vault.

TPMD is insured by the underwriters at Lloyd's of London
All gold, silver, platinum and palladium holdings are fully segregated, sealed, annually audited, and insured for full replacement value through an all-risk policy by Lloyd's of London, the world's leading insurer of specialized assets. Metals stored at Texas Precious Metals Depository remain the property of the client, and independent of TPMD's balance sheet. In other words, client assets are held as bailment, not on deposit with the facility or as consignment. Unlike other facilities, client assets are never commingled.
